Press Release
June 1999
Solana Beach, CA - With over two years of research and development there is finally a product line of detailed fishing maps for the primary fishing locations of Baja.
Del Mar Shores Design (DMSD), a graphic design-consulting firm, has created this series of specially designed fishing maps for the Baja Peninsula. Dirk Swierczynski, the owner of DMSD and avid fisherman, has used the designing talents of his firm to develop detailed charts and guides for some of the best, not mention his favorite, Baja fishing hot spots.
These maps are hydrographic (depicting underwater structures and depths with contour lines) as well as topographic (depicting surface structures and elevations with contour lines) with a unique full color, three-dimensional presentation of the land and sea of this beautiful area of the world. Each map is marked with fishing areas by GPS location along with unique tips and techniques from the experts, which creates the formula for fishing success through knowledge.
In addition to the unique visual treatments there is also localized information on accommodations, a seasonal fishing calendar, fish species identifier as well as a history of the area.
"Wow, wow, wow! These are great!” said Pete Gray of the "Let's Talk Hook Up" radio show.
The complete line of ten individual maps will be marketed under the brand name of Baja "Directions" with a suggested retail price of $14.95 and includes:
La Paz Loreto Bahia Magdalena San Felipe
East Cape San Quintin Bahia de Los Angeles
Los Cabos Ensenada Mulege
Though the experts are too numerous to mention all, no effort went unnoticed, and just a few for the East Cape include:
John Ireland, owner of Rancho Leonero
Earle Robitaille, Baja Internet reporter of Amigos de Baja http://www.bajanet.com
Cooke Bausmann III, Tournament Fisherman and IGFA Representative
